Learn about local child and family services and enjoy a fun morning for families with children, with face painting, arts and crafts, children's activities, and more. 🧭 School Holidays @ Mascot Library - Young Explorers History Club: 10:30am - 11:30am at Mascot Library, 2 Hatfield Street, Mascot. To complement the “Swimming in Botany and the Bay” exhibition currently on display at Mascot Library, this one-hour program will have some fun hands-on activities for kids to take part in all about the history of swimming in our area, including a “design your own pool” artwork. ♻️ Recycling Drop-Off Event: 8:00am - 3:00pm at Bayside Council Botany Depot, Pemberton Street, Botany. Keep the wheels of the circular economy turning by dropping off your e-waste, metals, whitegoods, mattresses, garden waste, X-ray films, light globes and old bikes. The depot is only open to Bayside residents during these regular events and only for materials advertised as accepted items. Learn more.

🌱 Bushcare at Binnamittalong Gardens: 9:00am - 12:00pm at Binnamittalong Gardens, Bexley (the group meets at the end of Veron Road). Bushcare is a chance to meet likeminded people and get some exercise while looking after the local environment. Learn more and register here.

🎨 Earth Wind Water & Human Activities Art Exhibition: 2:30pm - 4:30pm at Art Atrium, 12 Daniel Street, Botany (entrance on Daphne Street at corner of Daniel Street). The exhibition opening with the artist will be launched by Dr. Michael Hill, Head of Art History at the National Art School. More info.

📘 Storytime @ Rockdale Library: 10:30am - 11:30am at Rockdale Library Level 3, 444-446 Princes Highway, Rockdale. Storytime is tailored to pre-schoolers aged 3 to 5 years old and centres on reading books to children to further develop their language and pre-reading skills, while teaching them to sit quietly and listen with other children in a group. This session runs for 40-45 minutes and includes a fun craft activity to finish! Book here.

ℹ️ Go4Fun Program: 4:00pm - 6:00pm at Daceyville PCYC, 26A Bunnerong Road, Daceyville. This is the first session of a free program in NSW for children aged 7-13 years who are above a healthy weight, and their families. The program helps to build self-esteem and provides information on eating well, staying active and living a healthy life. Weekly sessions take place during the school term, after school.

🖼️ Art for Wellbeing: [SOLD OUT] 4:30pm - 5:30pm at The SECC Community Hub, 1007 Botany Road, Mascot. This is the first session of a 5-week therapeutic art program where you'll explore different art mediums including drawing, painting, clay, collage and nature art. From 5-6pm there will be snacks and drink available, time to view the exhibition, vote for the People's Choice award, weave with Peta Joy Williams, and create a Lego masterpiece! Hosted by Mont Ceramics, this night is a fun way to practice the art of clay and have a sip along the way! Tickets are $55 and includes a glass of prosecco on arrival.
