Sensory play session for the littlies: 11AM-12PM at St George Leagues Club, 124 Princes Highway, Kogarah. Fun Messy Mates are hosting a sensory play session for kids aged 6 months to 5 years old. Bring a towel, change of clothes, wipes and plastic bag. Tickets are required and cost $21 per child.

Touch footy clinic: 11AM-1PM at Booralee Park, Bay Street & Jasmine Street, Botany. Kids aged 12 and up can learn to pass, catch, tag and kick. Light snacks are provided. Free to join but bookings are essential. Reserve your spot.

Bushcare at Binnamittalong Gardens: 9AM-12PM at Binnamittalong Gardens, Bexley (the group meets at the end of Veron Road). Bushcare is a chance to meet likeminded people and get some exercise while looking after the local environment. Learn more and register here.

Mascot Foodies Night Market: 4-9PM at Mascot Public School, 207 King Street, Mascot. Cemented and grassed areas are available for picnicking, and kids play equipment is located nearby seating areas for parents. Street parking is available.

Live music at One Drop Brewing: Live music from 5-9PM at One Drop Brewing, 5 Erith Street, Botany. Norma’s Burgers food truck will be on site. Details here.

Ramadan night market in Rockdale: The family-friendly night food market kicks off from 7PM to 11.30PM at Walz Street, Rockdale. The street will be closed off for live entertainment and halal food vendors. Council recommends travelling to the event by public transport. Rockdale Station and bus stops are adjacent to Walz Street. Alternatively, it is a short walk from York Street and Market Street carparks.

Science workshop for kids: 10:30-11:30AM at Eastgardens Library, 152 Bunnerong Road Eastgardens. In this workshop presented by Children’s Discovery, kids will explore the forces we live with here on Earth and put their critical thinking skills to the test. Suitable for 5 to 8-year-olds and parental supervision is required. Tickets are free but you need to book in advance.

Get the kids cooking: 11AM-1PM at Arncliffe Youth Centre, 9 Townsend Lane, Arncliffe. Bayside Council’s Youth Services Team are offering a workshop for kids aged 12 and up, to learn easy and healthy recipes that can be repeated at home. Free to join but bookings are essential. Kids and family mosaic class: 11AM-12:30PM and 2PM-3:30PM at Creativity Wild Mosaics, 1471 Botany Road, Botany. Kids and grown ups can get crafty and learn how to make mosaics in a fun setting. Suited to adults and kids aged 3 and up. Kids who are 7 years or older can attend without their grown ups. Littlies must be accompanied by a paying grown up. Tickets are $45 per person.

Youth week skate event: 3-6PM at Mutch Park Skatepark, Wentworth Avenue, Pagewood. A free day for kids aged 12 and up of skate lessons, an all wheels jam, Go Pro workshop, ball games and more. Tickets are free but you need to book and sign a waiver form.
