What is AAPES? It’s the Australian Academy of Parkour, Exercise and Self-Defence.

What do you do? Parkour and other fun exercise classes! We pride ourselves on being a true community space, with open sessions, regular adults and kids classes, first timer's classes, school holiday workshops, birthday parties, team-building sessions, HIIT classes, and women's only evenings.

Who should come along to the gym? Everyone! Parkour is a non-competitive obstacle-based activity, which has massive physical benefits but also helps train your mind, overcome obstacles, and improve confidence! Despite what you may have seen in movies, parkour is not as ’extreme’ or ‘reckless’ as you may think. Anyone 6 years and above can participate.

Can you tell us about the school holiday workshops? Under instruction and supervision from our world-class teachers, kids will learn every facet of parkour; jumps, drops, vaults, climbing and even some flip introductions! Kids will also play games, complete obstacle courses, time trials and heaps more. Plus, our full-day workshops end with an epic parkour Nerf war!

These July school holidays, our full-day workshops will run on Monday-Thursday both weeks, with both Fridays running as morning-only workshops. Full-day workshops ($120) run from 9:30am-4:00pm and part-day workshops ($60) run from 9:30am-12:00pm. We accept both Active Kids and Creative Kids Vouchers, so if you have no idea what to do with these vouchers before they expire, here is the perfect solution!
